Welcome to Hotel Style. Monica and Nicoletta Bianchini , sisters and the hotel's owners, would like to take you on a tour of their hotel, tell you how to get here and tell you our rates . The Bianchini sisters are proud to tell you how a 16th century Venetian convent became a hotel with all of the modern amenities, while loosing none of its serene charme. Today the most perfect silence still reigns here. All of this right in the center of old Venice, in a hidden "campiello" (a little square), just a few steps from San Marco square. From the hotel, it's only a two minutes' walk along St. Mark's basin (where you can watch gondolas bobbing peacefully in the lagoon) to the "Campanile" , the famous tall bell tower in the corner of "Piazza San Marco" (St. Mark's square). From the top of the Campanile you can enjoy a spectacular view of Venice and its lagoon. Go on to visit the "Basilica of San Marco", one of the most beautiful churches in Europe, and admire the famous "Pala d'Oro" (the Golden Altarpiece) and the beautiful mosaics for wich it is renowned. In a small museum inside the Basilica you will find the famous four gilded bronze horses, copies of which stand majestically on the facade. Be shure to also visit the "Tesoro" (Treasury) . From the Basilica, it's only a few steps to the "Palazzo Ducale" (Doge's Palace). Enter through the ornate Gothic "Porta della Carta" (Gate of Paper) and climb the impressive "Scala dei Giganti" (Stairway of the Giants) to admire the famed "Scala d'Oro" (Golden Staircase) designed by Sansovino. Visit the "Sala del Gran Consiglio" (Great Council Hall) and walk along the magnificent arcade as the "Dogi", the former rulers of Venice, did in the days of the "Serenissima Republic's" greatest glory. In the Palace you can also visit the terrible Piombi prison, where Casanova was once imprisoned. Cross the "Ponte dei Sospiri" (Bridge of Sighs) to the "Prigioni Nuove" (New Prison) just as those being led to their deaths by execution once did. Near the hotel you can take the waterbus to visit the island of San Giorgio Maggiore and admire from there the "Riva degli Schiavoni" and San Marco square in all their splendor. Back at the hotel you can relax e refresh yourself in our Venetian style lounge, where we offer our guests a small cafe and a breakfast room. In the evening, dine in one of the wonderful nerby restaurants near the hotel, where you can sample the most delicious traditional Venetian specialties and enjoy the finest wines. Afterwards one of our 17 rooms will welcome you into a night of perfect sleep in the absolute quiet that reigns in our "campiello". Our rooms have all of the amenities: private bathrooms, air conditioning, telephones with Internet connection, satellite TVs, private safes and airdryiers. The rooms are furnished either in original liberty stile or in a comfortable modern style. The cozy atmosphere of our hotel will make you feel right at home. We will gladly offer you advice and directions to help you discover the "real" Venice, the less touristy and more charming one, to give you a truly unforgettable stay . . . . . . . . . . Amidst classic Venetian style, here you can spend your quiet moments in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. In the mornings come here for your buffet-style continental breakfast and coffee, milk or cappuccinos served by our staff. When you return from your wanderings through Venice, you can relax here, listen to music of our stereo, watch your favourite television program, or enjoy a drink from our cafe. In the evenings you can meet your friends here to take a drink or a coffee together. Our staff is always available to answer any questions you might have. They are all furnished with the aim of giving to our guests a warm and relaxing ambience, with all the comforts needed to make pleasant the stay. Every room has therefore private bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, hair dryer and private safe. If you want, you'll can connect to Internet at any time. Beds have big and comfortable mattress. Furnishing, in original liberty or modern style, varying from room to room, is anyway thorough and functional . Cleanliness is the main characteristic of our hotel.
